About
I'm a research leader and HCI Ph.D. studying how people make authority usable under uncertainty: how publics, users, and organizations decide whose interpretations to rely on when information is incomplete, fast-moving, and mediated — whether it's mediated by platforms or AI systems, communities, or institutions.
My doctoral work examined severe weather livestreams as a case of platform-mediated authority, where creator-led interpretation becomes actionable despite unsettled professional standing. In industry, I apply the same lens to AI-generated content, marketplaces, search, and product environments where evidence, credibility, and reliance shape what people are willing to do.
Across industry and academia, I build research programs that help teams understand not only what people do, but what they believe, doubt, verify, ignore, compare, and act on.
Methodologically, I work across interviews, ethnography, survey research, concept testing, behavioral data, and computational text analysis, choosing methods based on the decision and evidence problem at hand.
